So I understood an authorized user can perform upgrade. But if this upgrade requires to run credit check on me (the acct holder), doesn't it need my permission at least? I divorced my husband and separated my own line from the old line and was assured by the customer service rep that I won't be paying the old line's bills, despite the fact that i m the owner. Now, ex husband lost his phone and signed up the next plan to get a new phone. I ended up getting the bills. Mind u I didn't even know he has this installment plan until I called in. I can't remove him from my account b/c customer rep needs to send txt to his phone, how ridiculous is that? I m the account owner, I m held responsible for the bills, and yet I can't touch his privilege on my acct? How ton earth that ATT store ran a credit check on me without my permission and sign me up for the installment plan? Depending on which customer rep I was talking to, I was told either to file a fraud or pay off this acct and close it. Can I file a fraud? What's the process? He is not paying his bills, just fyi.
