I want to put in about $500 in AT&T gift card that can only be used in AT&T B&M stores only. I have called several AT&T corporate stores wondering if AT&T gift cards can be used towards your bill and was told YES but only in stores and not through the phone/online. I need more expert opinions on this matter since $500 is a lot of money that I don't want to go to waste since my monthly bills for AT&T are relatively low.

"AT&T gift cards can be used in AT&T retail stores and on the AT&T Web Site to purchase wireless phones and devices, as well as accessories like: chargers, Bluetooth headsets, memory cards, cases, and screen protectors.
Gift cards cannot be used to pay your bill."
