No appreciation for a decade of loyalty.

It would seem that gone are the days when AT&t would give loyal customers a thank you for sticking with them all these years.  Now we have the At&t next plan that seems great, but requires no loyalty on my end and requires that I pay full price for the phone that I choose, which they will graciously allow me to make payments on. When you do the math between what you "save" on the Next plan vs. what you "save" if you sign a two year contract, it's about 4.00 if we're talking about the iPhone5.  I recently went into an At&t store where I was told if I wanted to buy the phone outright and make monthly payments, then I would not have to pay a $45.00 upgrade fee.  Now if I wanted to sign a two year contract and be a loyal customer then I would need to upgrade my plan to a higher data package costing me about 20.00 more a month, pay an upgrade fee of 45.00 and pay 140.00 for the phone.  Wait, what! You mean you're going to make me pay more money, if I am willing to committ to being a loyal customer for the next two years!  I really wanted my husband to have a new phone so I went with the AT&t Next option, which he felt was ridiculous and I returned the phone.  The task must have been pretty difficult for the sales associate to accomplish, because I was chared a 45.00 "re-stocking" fee for their troubles.  I am incredibly disappointed with AT&t and I have no use for a company who treats customers of a decade like that.  I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.
