I ordered an IPhone 6 on release because they were out of stock at my local store. The rep said we will charge you when the device ships and I happily left. Upon checking my account, I see the charge is holding for the full amount. Puzzled I called the customer service line and spoke to a few different people who ranged from incompetent to willfully unhelpful. My only query was to why the charge was placed on my account when the device doesn't ship for at least another 10 days. No one was able to answer the question and the supervisor I spoke with provided 3 options. Cancel, wait, or goto the store. Frustrated with the process and lack of a resolution I asked to cancel the order and stated I would be taking my business elsewhere. After five minutes on hold I was told that the order is unable to be canceled because of the status it is in. They confirmed it would not be shipped until at least the 30th. This is by far the worst experience I have had with any sort of order. Has anyone else experienced this level of ignorance when dealing with Att? On top of this they never apologized or offered any resolution to the actual problem. Once I can actually cancel this order I'll be moving to a provider who can give the appearance of wanting to keep me as a customer.
