At&t just lost a customer

I called 2 weeks ago to setup payment arrangements since my bill was almost double due to adding an extra line.  I called and got it setup by the collections department to split the bill in 2 payments.  When you guys say its all good to go, I'm going to take your word for it.  I paid my first payment and now a week later im getting told that I need to pay the remainder or get shutoff.  I called again and nothing was on my account to show that I had made arrangements so because you guys can't do your job, I have to be short for the month since I'm on a fixed income.  Thanks.  I WILL be looking for a new carrier once my contract is done.
