I was real happy this year when my plan changed- My bill went down and value went up- shared 10 gig data.
Today I called about upgrades- excited about new iphone. Turns out I have two options- pay $649- or whatever the phone ends up being. or get the upgrade discount say pay $199 for the phone but then my bill goes up $25 a month. He goes on to say it would be cheaper just to keep my current plan pay full price for the phone but pay for it in month installments. What kind of upgrade savings is that? What happened to waiting the 2 years. Paying a discounted amount upfront (after all you are getting a new phone) and then you are done with it- plan doesn't change. Very confusing and seems shady.
I think I will just wait a few months when contracts on both lines are up and shop around and at least see what my options are.
I should have know it was too good to be true when my rates went down- you are going to pay for it eventually.
