Feeling Cheated

I called at&t in July about adding a line for my daughter. I wanted to know how much more it would add to my monthly bill. I was told by the CSR that they could waive the activation fee and I would actually be making money because I would receive the $100 add a line credit and my monthly bill would remain about the same. I ending up adding the line and was shocked to see my first bill. Instead of the $160 I was expecting, my bill was $280 for the first month. That included the activation fee that I was told would be waived and wouldn't you know I was lied too about the $100 credit as well. I called at&t with my complaint and nothing was resolved. They said they didn't have any record on file (what a shock) that the activation fee would be waived. As far as the $100 credit goes, I was told that promotion ended in May and they didn't know why I would be told such a thing. In the end nothing was resolved and I'm stuck with a $280 bill. Nothing is worse than being lied too in order to buy service. At this point I would recommend at&t to anyone.
