Suspended service after payment arrangment was made!!!

We recently had fraud on our bank accounts and as a result a coupe payments got returned since we changed banks. Called ATT last week on 8/20/14 and spoke to a woman that said we could setup a late payment date until we could get into a store to pay our bill in person since there system had locked us out of making payments with our accounts. We agreed on 8/27/2014 as the date we could make it in, sure enough our phone service was turned off this morning on 8/25/2014, after speaking with a supervisor I was told that it wasnt there fault that THEY got the date wrong and that I more or less was a liar and didn't know what I was talking about. When I asked if they wanted us to cancel all of our 4 iphone lines that we have NEVER been late on (its 7 days late today) I was told that that was probly easiest?!?!?!? Wow!

 

Were also in the middle of moving, have 4 small children and my wifes 8 months pregnant and we have no cell phones or a way to reach anyone as a result of horrible customer service and just plain being insulted. As a journalist for a major publication I certainly will not be letting this go and will not rest until everyone knows how rude and incompetent ATT customer service is.

 

Even tried to pay over the phone with our CC and they couldn't even that to go through 3 times! Funny because we just used that card to pay our Verizon Fios bill just fine and it has available credit of $15000!!! Insanity.
