I just upgraded my phone to the iPhone 5S using the billing system for the new phone and not a 2 year contract I understood that this would not change my plan amount per month. When I got my new bill I noticed that the bill had gone up by $20.00. I called and asked wheat was going on and was told that ATT had made a change in February that everyone should have the opportunity to upgrade phones every 18 months instead of having to wait until the end of the 2 year contract. I was very close to the end of the two year contract where I could have upgraded the phone and paid $94.00 for the new phone outright. Instead of paying per month for the full price of the phonel I found that either way my bill went up $20.00 from what I was paying although the only thing I did was upgrade my phone not the services I had. I wondered if anyone else had realized this and just take it in stride that your bill just went up $20.00 without you agreeing to anything. Good way for ATT to grab some extra dollars for profit plus the multitude of taxes that are added to the bill almost monthly with no explanation where they came from or where they go, Not a happy camper with the new billing arrangement from ATT.
