I called AT&T on Wednesday to inquire about transferring my services from Verizon. I was told by the sales rep that I was qualified for no deposit on my 1st line, but that my 2nd line would require a deposit of $100.00. I gave the gentleman my CC info, and he then charged my account the $100.00. After my service was activated, I registered for My AT&T and immediately noticed a charge of $445.00 due on the account. I immediately dialed 611 to get this sorted out and was informed that I owed a deposit of $545.00. Who do I talk to about this matter? Every time it get someone one the phone, I get snotty reps who can't answer a simple question. Also is it AT&T policy to let new customers start services without paying the required deposit in full, as in my case it went from being $100.00 to $545.00 in a matter of minutes.
