Upgrade fees for long term customers?

This was the first time since i have been a customer with AT&T that i have been disgusted with my service. I have been a customer since 2000. I just upgraded my phone b/c my original iphone 5 that was less than 2 years old had a defect with the lock button. I went to the apple store and they let me upgrade to the new 5S. So i bought the phone and signed a new 2 year agreement. I get my bill this month and i have a $40 upgrade fee for this. As in the past i called and talked with customer service about getting this upgrade fee removed since i have had an actual defect with my phone AND i have been a customer since 2000. They wouldn't budge. I even explained my case to the supervisor with no help. I will be paying $2400 over the next 2 years for this service. I could do the math and find out how much AT&T has made off me since i have been with them since 2000. You can't wave off a (highly ridiculous) $40 upgrade fee for a 14 year customer that will be paying you for the next 2 years? Give me a break. How is this good business? Congradulations returning customer for buying a new phone, signing a contract for 2 years, and oh just wait to show that we really appreciate you we are going to make you pay ANOTHER FEE of $40 just b/c we haven't made enough money off you already. Take that hit in the pocket book and like it!!!

It's been great AT&T but we will be seeing you later after this next 2 years off feeding your pocket books are over!!!!
