I'm new to ATT, came from Verizon after 15 years, so super crazy billing is new to me. We just got our first bill; I understand all of the charges except for the unbelievable, outrageous surcharges, government fees and other fees. I know they must be paid, but I don't understand why each line needs to pay $16 worth of fees/surcharges every month for a grand total of an additional $32/mo. At Verizon we paid these fees, but it was one plan, two phones, ONE set of fees for about $12 ish/mo (I understand taxes are more due to the activation fee this time) but it seems like at ATT, we have one plan, two phones, but TWO sets of fees. We haven't moved, so the general taxes etc should be the same, but we're just paying for it twice now? Is this the case in general? Anyone else have this situation? It actually makes switching to ATT more expensive!
