BUYER BEWARE

My son "upgraded" his phone at the end of his 2 year contract at Best Buy.  Best Buy assured me there would be no additional charges for changing out the phone and in exchange for the reduced cost of the phone, we signed a new two year contract.  (BIG MISTAKE)  Three weeks (and more than 14 days after the phone was purchased) I got the first bill.  My bill was increased by $90 per month and bonus, it was going up about $30 per month going forward.  When I explained what we had been told at Best Buy, the response I got, from a customer service supervisor was, "We know Best Buy lies to customers but we are not responsible for their representations so you should have complained within 14 days after you purchased the phone.  And yes, we did not give you notice of the new charges within the 14 days, but again, not our problem.  I am really disappointed at how little AT&T cares about their customers or how they are cheated by other businesses selling their products (which AT&T clearly benefits from those misrepresentations).  So BUYER BEWARE!!!  DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ATT SERVICE!
