Frustrated with new billing cycle

I recently modified my plan to try to save some money by converting to a share data plan. My biggest frustration is I paid my old bill on 7/16 and the new bill is due on 8/6. This totally sucks and it looks like I got the short end of the stick on this special deal. I just don't think this is the way to treat a long-term customer. It seems the only way to get special treatment is to switch companies as new customers get all the deals. I would like to see AT&T policies and billing practices change in an effort to reward loyal customers by giving them financial breaks in issues such as sticking to the same billing periods when upgrading their plans.
