Here I am, enjoying a Friday evening. Thank you ATT for "mobilizing my world"and not letting me sit on my lazy behind.
I and my wife had been with ATT pre-paid service for last 1 year.
Last Saturday (July 12), we got our plan changed to post-paid for a promised $75 charge, for both lines and no activation fee was mentioned. So, imagine my surprise, when I got a $166 bill today, that to dated July 12-July 12, with only that day's data usage mentioned in the bill.
I called ATT, and now they wanted an activation fee of $80. Even after I metioned that no activation fee was quoted, all they could promise was to reduce the amount to $40. Amidst all that, I didn't even understand how could they charge me for a single day(the bill says so, with my data usage reset the next day).
Now I am planning to cancel the service; another stressfull day in store, I am sure, with the incovenience of changed phone number. And more money gone for all the charges. Luckily I have my own hand-set, so no re-stocking fee to be paid.
