Not a happy customer- unfair billing

I will never again choose AT&T nor would I ever recommend it to someone else.  After seeing my cell phone bill continue to rise I decided to look for another company.  When I called to cancel my plan, 10 days into the cycle, I was told I still had to pay the next full bill.  If I didn't then I would be charged a late fee.  However, on the following bill there I would receive a refund for only having AT&T 10 days.  Well, when the next bill came there was no credit.  So after waiting on hold and having the representative look up all the information I am told that AT&T charges a person in advance and they do not refund anything if you cancel your plan in the middle of the bill cycle.  If I hadn't paid the advance bill in full they would have sent my name to collection, but wouldn't have done it would the whole amount- then they would have looked up how much it would have been for the few days of the cycle I used.  It wasn't even possible to talk to anyone else about the matter unless I had over a hour to wait for someone else to be available.  Terrible customer service and I don't know recommend it to anyone!
