Overcharged at a ATT store

Hello,

for a vacation in the US I bought a prepaid cell phone with a $ 2 Unlimited Daily Talk and Text at a ATT store at the New York JFK airport to be able to make international phone calls and text messages to Europe. I told the salesman at the retail shop what I wanted and he sold me a cell phone with which I thought I was satisfied. As it turned out the next day there was no airtime on the phone so I had to refill the phone with airtime. Later I realized that I was charged with way more than what the package was worth of.

To be sure of that I went to two other AT & T shops who both told me that I was overcharged and that I had to get back to this specific shop to fix it. As I went back to ask for a refund the salesman told me that he couldn't do it because I had already used it (with the refill mentioned earlier) and that he couldn't do anything to help me. By the way I just want to mention that he was very unfriendly and uncooperative when I told him what my complaints were.

When I got back from my vacation I made a complaint about it at the customer service at AT & T via email but they told me that they didn't have a specific email I could write to and that I had to call them for help. Since international calls are very expensive I want to ask if there is something that can be done to fix this problem without making a phone call to the United States.

Thank you for your efforts.
