My post could more accurately be described as a complaint about something that is broken than a question. If you select to activate Autopay, it says it May take one or two months (as if this is a potential fluke that would then be fixed if you Personally ran into trouble). It should say it Will take that long because there is no exception to this.
Is AT&T's IT department even bothering to work on this? As someone with a Bachelors in Computer Science, I can say with certainty that there is no reason why Autopay shouldn't active as soon as the user saves their settings.
