On December 12, 2015 I entered an AT&T store with the sole purpose of getting a new phone for one of my then 3 accounts because the current phone was not properly working. Over an hour later I left with 2 new phones and a new phone line. The sales pitch? A holiday deal where I'd buy one phone and get the second free. All I'd have to do is pay the sales tax on the two phones that day. Jump to a month later and I get my first bill. Imagine my surprise when I was charged a payment for an installment plan for both phones. I contacted AT&T and was told it could take a billing cycle to have everything to correct and whatever I paid I would be credited. Unfortunately, when I checked my bill yesterday (February 2, 2016) the charges were still there. I contacted AT&T again. And after 45 minutes on the phone all I got was an apology. Cody, while nice, offered little help and his only explanation was the salesperson who'd sold me the phones and told me I was getting a deal misspoke. According to Cody, the phones I purchased were not actually included in the Buy One, Get One Free offer. There is no way I would have purchased two phones had they not been included in the BOGO deal. I would not have added another line had that deal not been presented. AT&T's response? "Sorry". But I'm still getting charged for 2 phones. I was lied to and I'm having to pay for it. It's unacceptable and disgraceful.
