Why hurt a small business, then refuse to work with the company you hurt?

I have a small business that is still to little to run with the big boys, but I'm still open for business at least not if AT&T has their way. When I chose AT&T for my business needs it was because I thought it was the best choice to get the internet service I need to conduct my business. In order to obtain and maintain contracts I needed to increase my speeds. This caused a whirlwind of issues, they canceled appointment, made empty promises, and don't want to give nearly enough restitution for contracts I could not obtain and lost due to choosing an IP service that could not deliver in a timely matter. I still can't get an summary that matches what my bill is supposed to be. I am told by reps, "we can see the summary is not what your bill will be, but don't worry just call back" really???

So, I lost contracts, could not get other contracts, paid Uverse for the pleasure of all the trouble and made sure my employees were taken care of as an good business owner should. In the process, of contract shortages, something had to wait...my AT&T business wireless account.  I get a call and told the rep about the issues I had and asked if she see the $100.00 credit for the wireless. I explained that due to the trouble I have with the other service, I lost money, so after paying Uverse and half of the $206.00 wireless bill I could not pay again until after the first week of December (I'm an vendor on 30 days net). She went on to say the bill was now $306 and the account will be canceled on the 30th. I asked her considering the situation, if I can't make money that leave less money to pay AT&T why can't you hold off on the cancelation? The issues your company had giving me what my company needed was the catalyst for the set back. An internet requirement to access multiple VPN's are not negotiable for me so your company dropped the ball. Now I am reading this forum....I am so disgusted. They are so huge that they don't even take your calls on the week end! As if small business have the pleasure of closing shop because of what day it is? So much panic and stress and all you get is....sorry. No one increases speed to play xbox! A business account means nothing; they cost you multiple contracts then cancel your account if you can't give them all the money they want when they want it. I won't choose between paying my employees and paying the business wireless account in full when they cause the shortage of funds! With power comes responsibility! And AT&T is able to shrug that responsibility by having pleasant people on the phone that are too nice to even consider taking it out on them. It's not their fault and they are not allowed to do anything about or even admit its outreagous because they could get in trouble for saying what's true.

AT&T does not want you to avoid paying them and they have the resources to make you suffer, but what resources do we have when AT&T caused the problem? None! And to read that they will insist on more money to restore my service after they cancel it? On top of all the problems they already caused? I don't even get a salary until this mess is straightened out! How am I suppose to recover when I dig out the dirt they toss in more?
