I purchased a GoPhone online which required a 50.00 gift card towards first month of service. The rep via chat indicated this credit (5.00) would be honored on the next billing cycle, along with an additional discount for setting up AutoPay. Here is the transcript:
Me : Stand by... says I have device and 50.00 gophone refill card... 89.99 due today. Is this correct? | ||
AT&T : Correct! | ||
Me : Why is it 50.00 when plan says 45 monthly and 40 with auto refill? | ||
AT&T : There is not a $45 refill card, so it adds the one that will give you enough to pay for the plan, the $5 extra will stay on your account, so for next month it would only be $35 with autorefill. |
I was charged the full 40.00 payment and credit was not added. Speaking to ATT on the phone for several minutes, they indicated the 5.00 would remain on account for future purchases including adding data, change in plan, etc. It was not stated in my purchase order this was the standard practice.
Any information on this issue?
