Figured I would reach out to the forums to see if anyone has a solution to this issue.
Purchased a new Note from ATT in August 2015, signed up online for pickup in store. Received an email that says my monthly charges will be $35 per month. However, I am being billed at $40 per month. Have contacted ATT via chat and sent data captures to show amount, a case was opened only to be closed that they can not give me this rate. Called and talked with Customer support, who could not give me the rate so a really nice gal named Nelida contacted her manager, who could not help, so she contacted Customer Care who could not help and so her only option (not her fault, but the lack of support she gets as an ATT employee) was to open another case for me.
This is basically a bait and switch where I am told I will get one price, but charged another and no way to get the price that I have an email from ATT with my Order and Activation number on the email showing the $35 per month price.
At this point in time I have reported it to the BBB and am doing a dispute resolution (snail mail) with ATT, basically with this level of support and dishonesty I am trying to get out of my contract all together and go with a different carrier. I have spent many hours on this process already and not a resolution in site. The sad thing is it is only $120 over the 2 year period, but who knows what else I have been charged for and maybe did not notice. By the way, I have been an ATT customer since 2005 and have had a minimum of 3 smartphones on this same account for over 5 years.
Any suggestions or thoughts appreciated.
