I have been with ATT for nearly a decade. I have multiple lines on my account. Recently one of the users of one of the lines deceased. We were not sure what we were going to do with that line right away so we decided to suspend it. After a little discussion we decided to cancel it. Well ATT dropped the ball on that and left it suspended. Just recently I saw that their was an extra $90 on my bill that I had been paying toward that one line for 3 months. No phone calls text or data had been used on that line whatsoever. Upon talking to ATT customer service they were unwilling to remove those charges. All they are willing to do is to cancel the line and provide a $25 credit to the line. I explained to them that this could ultimately cause me to go to a competitor network, but was told to go ahead. Nice to see that loyalty to the customer falls so far down the list to a big company such as ATT and that years of payments and service means nothing. I have made contact with Verizon and they are willing to pay the early termination fee's with my line and will provide the same equipment I currently have while providing a discounted rate of half the cost I was paying through ATT of the same service plan. I would encourage anyone to visit Verizon or any number of competitors of ATT and see what they can offer before signing into a contract with ATT because obviously customer service is not something they are in the business of. Thanks for reading. The BBB is my next message to be sent regarding this message.
