At&t store rep lied

I have been with att since before they were Cingular. I have finally had enough. I had basic phones and wanted to look into a smart phone. I have the 300mb data plan which has been plenty for us. The reason I decided to look into a smart phone is, I  was tired of getting voice mails 3 days later, text messages not being sent and phone calls being dropped or never connecting. I thought it was because we were on older style phones. I bought 2 Moto E phones for $75 each. Before we purchased them I told the rep I didnt want my bill to go up not even by 1 penny. He assured us our bill would remain the same. He even showed us how to turn off the data and use wifi only. We used the phones for a few days and there was no improvement in dropped calls, late voicemails or text messages so we wanted to return the phones. We were told we would be charged $35 restocking fee for each phone that we only had for a few days when the rep said we could bring them back within 14 days if we didnt like them. He never mentioned a restock fee and there is no mention of it on the receipt. Angry that if I hand over 2 phones I would only get the cost of 1 back, we kept the phones. Then we get our bill. It went up by $40! We are dropping att and going with a competitor that is not only cheaper, but has better coverage and unlimited data for less than the 300mb plan we have with att. Our final hurdle is getting the phones unlocked. That has been another nightmare. One is unlocked, now I have to go thru the same aggervation again to get the second one unlocked when they were both supposed to be done at the same time. Never again will we be with Att.
