Returned a phone prior to 1 year because ringer was too weak. This was the only issue with the phone. Replacement was issued. 2 weeks later, bad phone was returned stating damage to charging port. Along with phone was a letter stating the damage and a charge for $469. My questions are:
1. Isn't a phone returned for derects within the first year covered by manufacturers warranty?
2. Charging of the phone wasn't the issue. Why is it now the issue?
3. Was the ringer on the phone (the original issue) ever fixed?
4. $469 is more than the cost of an upgraded phone. How was this amount computed for the cost of a used replacement phone?
