I've been on Mobile Share for a month and 2 weeks before the end of my cycle I got a message stating I used 90% which I know I didn't because I'm not a big data user. I turned off the Cellular option on my iphone 5 and ONLY used wifi whenever possible. I'm a complete nut about these things. I'm always making sure I see the wifi rainbow, closing apps when done, etc.
Today is the first day of a new billing cycle so I reset my data calculator, made sure all apps were off, and I confirmed I was on wifi. I then turned on the Cellular option. I received1 picture text and one voicemail. I then went to the data calculator and it said I SENT 16.0 KB. How can that be when I did not send anything? I called tech support and the lady knew absolutely nothing. She just kept repeating back to me the kb I "received" instead of addressing the 16 KB my phone and her records stated I sent, when I absolutely did not. As we went back and forth she finally admitted that "AT&T has no way of proving I SENT anything at that time but was still charging me the 16kb" They couldn't tell me if it was a text, internet data, nothing. I asked to escalate the issue. I heard a silence and the phone went dead. Nice!
How is it that AT&T can say I sent data when I was standing right there and clearly did not. This is not about 16 KB its about AT&T not correctly counting data. Now I'm questioning my last months bill. Any ideas?
