When is a Dell Tablet not a Tablet?

Is anyone else running into an issue where they purchase a tablet and then find that AT&T doesn't consider it a tablet and won't give you the $10 price as advertised on their plan?  They're saying that Dell's tablets give you more 'Dell’s built-in mobile broadband cards are designed to provide performance advantages over external cards' and that 'If it`s not one that we sell, we have no way of knowing what it is going to be registered as, until after the IMEI is attached.'

I'm not real happy with them or the 3rd party carrier right now - have been fighting this for over a year, with a lot of finger pointing back and forth and finally was told, 'I`m sorry, but the cost is $20 per month'.

Any thoughts or ideas??
