Deceptive Practice

I am a long time customer of AT&T, but now will most likely change companies . I feel very deceived and having been "taken." I dropped and broke my IPhone 5 last winter. I brought it in to local store in December 2014. I was told I was eligible for an upgrade. I left the store believing I had had purchased a new Iphone6+ and was even assisted in a plan review and was told my monthly bill would actually be less. This never happened, and now I realized I was charged 850.00 for the phone and placed on some "next" plan, of which was never mentioned, let alone explained to me. I would NEVER, EVER have purchased a phone for 850.00 had that been explained to me. I feel stupid and taken advantage of. I will do all that I can to ensure my family and friends are aware of my dissatisfaction. I am hoping I can find someone in this large corporation wiling to make this right with me. Only then will I remain a customer. Most likely I am just another fish in their large pond. I went to the store I purchased this to have them explain the charge on the bill. I was shocked. One rep tried to be helpful and suggested I call corporate and they would work with me. Another told me there is nothing I can do. I told them I am the stupid customer...I get that..for being had. Very disappointed in what I considered a deceptive practice. What is our society doing to each other in the name of greed?
