Daughter devastated by collections department treatment

My Daughter called in tears today fro my other daughter's phone because ATT shut off her service. She still owes $215.00 since June 8th but did not know that an extension might be allowed. Eric F[edited for privacy – please do not post personal information]at collections in Orlando, was harsh (I used another word but again the computer told me I used a "Bad" word) to my daughter. When I tried to contact ATT customer service through my account (because ATT barred my daughter from talking to customer service in billing) I found out that he torpedoed my daughter by notating the account which the customer service person "Jamie" said made it impossible to overide. I asked to speak to a supervisor but "Alisa" said much the same.

As I write this, I am on hold from the supervisor to speak to their supervisor for the last 15 minutes. I suspect that the floor superviser Alisa put me on a dead end hold.

The call is now 50:26 minutes long and holding.

Is it my imagination or is everyone at ATT an illegal immigrant. Not one person I spoke to could carry-on a conversation that wasn't garbled.

I suspect the calls are routed to overseas call centers just like most corporations (shame on them). I resent the fact that I have to discuss my personal information including my SS# with people in other countres where I have no recourse. They could steal the information blind and I couldn't do a thing about it. Why is this legal?

The point is, had my 18 year old daughter called and asked for a payment arrangmernt before the suspended her account she would have gotten one. Everyone at ATT says the can't overide the computer. So I guess we are moving toward the Apocolyps just like in the movie Terminator, where we take orders from machines. What next?
