Customer Service rep answers are not consistant

Hi:

 

I called customer service rep for cancel att service for my lines because I am getting very good deal with Verizon wireless. After discussion with rep, he provided me some discounts on my services and he text me what I have discussed and what will be the future bill. I enrolled into att next plan and they will ship new phone. However I called AT&T again to make sure all are on the samepage but i got different answer with another rep and got answer no discound will apply to coming bills and they can't help.

 

Do I have to worry now and terminate my services immediately with ATT? Any suggestion would help me to make my desision.

 

-Att wireless customer from last 10 years....
