I've been with AT&T since 2002. I have had my ups and downs but I have to be honest and say that it's been many good years versus bad. I lost my job 6 months ago. I'm on unemployment, but it's not paying anything really. I'm behind on my bill. I have 5 lines. I know AT&T as a company has to enforce their rules and regulations when dealing with payments and running a business.
I don't have a problem with this at all. I just feel that as a long time customer for more than 13 years that has been loyal that I should or anyone like me who has a similar situation be granted some help. I asked a representative tonight to help me reinstate at least 1 line because my family only communication with the world is through cell phones. They could not do this. It's disappointing to hear that because I have friends (who will go un-named) who has had at least 1 line turned on for at least 7-10 days so that the whole family wouldn't be cut off. Whatever...it is what it is.
I do plan on paying my bill at some point and when I do, I will almost pay off my next plan installments and leave AT&T. It's time to try something different. I don't have any ill-wills toward AT&T like I said but I take it as a sign that it's time for both of us to move on. I wish AT&T nothing but the best.
