An account from 2009 that was paid in full with AT&T after several painful phonecalls all over their customer service and collections departments has come back from the dead and appeared on my credit report after being paid for 3 years. Now the collection agent (Enhanced Recovery Services) is saying I owe AT&T $103 even though they have no bill, statement, or proof of the debt from AT&T. How could this be? How can AT&T assert a balance due when they have no bill or anything to back it up? This is illegal.
