On March 4th I made the mistake of porting my number from Sprint to AT&T because that's when the nightmare began.
To make a long story short, I opened my account with AT&T on March 4th, switched out the phone I got on March 14th which made them reset my contract date, and then on March 20th, I closed the account and went back to Sprint. In the 16 days I was with AT&T they sent me a bill for $80.99 to cover my month of service from March 4th through April 4th. I paid the $80.99.
Now, being not so smart, I opened a yet another new account with AT&T on March 23rd. They've sent me a bill now for $108.00.
I was expecting that since I only had service on my first account for 16 days that AT&T would prorate the charges. I am being told that NO, AT&T does not prorate charges. Sprint does. They gladly billed me only for the two days of service I had with them from March 20th - 23rd. I should have stayed.
Is there anyway to get A&T to give me back a portion of the $80.99 that I paid for the 16 days of service? Is there someone to call? Can I complain to some regulatory agency or something. It's just bad practice and bad service all around.
