Another False promise by AT&T

I have been AT&T customer since last 4 years with 2 lines. This Thanksgiving, I decided to add 2 additional lines for my children to my plan. Amazon.com was offering $150 bill credit for each new line of activation on the AT&T next. I called up AT&T customer service & the sales person said that the promotion was still going on & I order samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Iphone 6 plus. 2-3 business days of delivery was promised. I was sent a text by the agent from AT&T that specifically said that I would get $300 bill credit for my order (order number).

The wait started and ended more than 3 weeks later, when my phones arrived. Before activating the new lines, just to make sure, I would get the credit, I called the customer service and confirmed it. Both times, the notes were put in so there won't be "Problems" later on.

Today, after a month, I called to check on the credit and was shocked to hear that I was not even eligible for the offer. I spent almost an hour on the phone (first with an agent then manager). The manager kept on apoligizing about the misinformation and that she couldn't do anything for me.

I want to ask AT&T, how fair is that to a customer, who puts his faith in the BIG company like yours blindly that things will be taken care of as promised (not even verbally but also written in the form of text). How fair it was for me to wait for the phones 3 weeks from BIG company rather than ordering it through Amazon Prime and get the same deal, or going to a local store like Best buy, get a store credit of $100 and get the same phones right away.

The Manager that I talked to finally said, "I am offering half of what you were promised. It's is either take it or loose it , now or never". She added, " If I was a mean person, I would just tell you to forget about it". Good job AT&T in training the employees and their managers!

After the "Nice" customer service, response, service & generosity ($150 instead of $300) I got from AT&T, I will not only look for better company, but will also spread the word. If don't know, what you call this whole thing, like Fraud, Lying to customer to make sale or whatever.

I hope, someone from AT&T reads this and helps me get the full credit that I was promised in written.
