Two the three I told I was getting a smart phone from AT&T has stories similar to mine. First, the website is so confusing you need to chat or call. I explained we were Sprint customers with two lines, that my wife had an extra iPhone (not Sprint -- it was GSM she used in China) but I needed a new phone. I chatted and was told 15GB of data for $100 plus $15 each for access if I bought my phone full price, with the Next Plan or used the iPhone we had. I wanted to take some time to pick a phone so I called to order the next day and when I started to order I was told $100 get me only 10 GB of data. But oh -- you are switching two line from Sprint so we will give you $300 credit. I said fine but I want to get the 15GB for data for $100 if you have that special again. No problem they put it in the notes. So, I get the agreement email. Nothing about the SIM card for the iPhone or the credit. I call and was told not to worry it would be on the bill. Nope. I call and they send me a link to the fine print. They make it confusing with all the changing plan names and specials and on and on. When you call you get a different answer every time. They are either under trained or instructed to mislead customers to get the order. Finally, all you get is sorry you don't understand. I know you are so excited to get your new phone we can say one thing and do another. I filed an FCC complainnt.
