I am all out of energy at this stage trying to understand this process.
I posted a message in this forum on my disspointment about losing a discount on the rate plane while doing an upgrade on 09/29 (options were sign up for the next plan or lose a 15$ discount on rate plane). I got a call from Mark from social media that night trying to find a resolution. I was offered a new data plan (a step down from my 2Gb shared to 1gb shared) and was told that the my monthly bill would stay the same even with the upgrade. YAY!! right?
Got the new phone and guess what, my bill is ~$20 more than it used to be. Spent about 2 hours talking to various people in AT&T customer service leading to no resolution. Response i got: "I was mis-informed" and I could return my phone back- simple!
From my standpoint, I was offered a service at a price and I got a bill that doesnt reflect this- Isnt this Fraud?.
I am feeling helpless as Tabatha (i guess) the CS manager did show little interest in what I had to say or explain.
Can someone suggest who can I reach out to to get this ("fraud") investigated? Worth spending time if it gets the dysfunctional and disconnected AT&T system any better.
