Finally received my iPhone 6 a few days ago, and wanted to take advantage of the trade in promotion AT&T has going on. I have an iPhone 5S and my girlfriend has an iPhone 4S, both in immaculate condition. So I'm thinking, we can get up to $500 credit for both phones, since the 5S is being traded in for up to $300 and the 4S for up to $200. Well, upon chatting with the AT&T Customer Care reps, they assured me that I'd be able to take my phone in and receive a credit that could be used towards my bill. However, upon calling two different AT&T stores and also physically walking into one, all the reps explained that the credit given in store was only to be used for accessories/cases/cables, etc. Why would I need $500 to spend on accessories? Has anyone else experienced this issue? Am I getting the runaround here, or has anyone had success applying their iPhone trade in credit towards their bill?
