At&t Is Willing to Lose 10 Year Customer

Where do I even begin?  We have been with AT&T for 10 years and have been grandfathered in with the unlimited data plan.  A representative had convinced my husband and I to lose our unlimited data plan and go with the 10gb monthly family plan, stating we weren't using anywhere near 10gb a month. So of course, we decided to save $10/month and go with the family data plan of 10gb. Fast forward a couple months; we both receive text messages 10 days before our billing date stating we've already used 90% of our data plan. We call AT&T and they said because we haven't had any data overages, we can't have any credit applied or put us back on the unlimited plan we had before. So pretty much, that means; go over your data plan and prove to us you need more data, OR pay more money to have 5 more gb a month. Why would we go over our allowed data and pay MORE money to prove 10 gb wasn't enough for us?? We feel lied to and jipped for having to change our data plan.  Had we known it was going to be like this, we would've either stuck with the unlimited plan or leave AT&T entirely.

They are willing to lose a customer who have been with them for 10 years. Absolutely blows my mind that they don't care for their long-term customers and are willing to lose them.
