AT&T are blatant liers

Upgraded my plan to the 10gb family share plan today and when doing so, I talked to Mel employee *** I asked several times about the $15 smartphone service fee I was being charged and if I upgraded my phone to an iphone 6 plus would that change that fee. He straight up told me; "no, the plan and the phone are separate and it will stay at $15". BIG FAT LIE. I went to upgrade my phone when I got home from work this evening and it was going to charge me a $40 service fee, along with the one time $40 turn the phone on fee (which I was ok with). I called the support back and they said you were led misinformation even after I told them "MEL" "employee ***" told me it wouldn't change, and to pull up the recorded conversation I had with him. "Sorry, can't do anything about that", well guess what, I can. I didn't upgrade my phone, so I'm not in a contract, and my wife's contract is up in December. I will be taking my Wireless, Uverse, Internet, services elsewhere.

 

Customer service is a thing of the past, greedy companies like these need to go.
