I want to know why I cannot upgrade my phone for 199.99 and keep my current mobile share discounts. I think it is absolutely horrid that AT&T forces you to lose those discounts if you want a current phone. There is currently no way to save any money and keep a current phone. Shame on you.
On top of this, having spoken to no less than 4 CSR on the phone and one in the store, its disappointing to know that they don't understand the terms of any current plans any better than I do. So far, my assessment (based on 3/5 non conflicting reports) is that if I get a new iphone for 199.99, then my renewed contract will cause me to lose both 25 dollar mobile share discounts. My bill will increase 50 bucks a month, or I will have to buy TWO phones for an astronimical full retail price, or I will have to finance two phones and end up paying more than retail for them in the end. This is absolutely unacceptable.
As a long term customer, why is AT&T not grandfathering my discounts in? You charge 160 bucks for 10gb of data and 199.99 for a phone...and you guys can't run a business without fleecing me for 50 extra a month? Why?
