I got the new Blackberry through the ATT Next plan. After a year I sent it in to upgrade to a Galaxy. Shortly after I received an email saying that I did not disable the activation lock and I would have to pay the remaining balance. I got in contact with them and an agent told me it was no problem and that they would send the Blackberry back to me so I could deactivate the lock and then I had 10 days to send it back. Two weeks went by and the phone never came. I got in touch with them and they said it would be here in 5 days. Another week goes by and still nothing. I talked to them again and this time an agent told me that they accidentally messed up on the case and that's why I never got the phone back. He said at this point the phone is gone and they can't send it back to me. I now have to pay for the phone. After many frustrating conversations with ATT I have now accepted that I have to pay no matter what. However, I am getting nothing in return. When you pay off a phone on the ATT Next plan, you get to keep it. So now I'm expected to pay $700 for a phone that they will never send back to me???
AT&T Wants Me To Pay For A Phone I Can't Have?
Att wont give me credit on my bogo
I got a new iphone 6s and added a line in june. Still have not got credit for the BOGO. Have spent many hours on the phone, online and in the store trying to get a credit. I have been paying for both phones since June Att keeps taking my money. Another thing they talked me into to uverse in the store in May and didnt cancel their own DSL and sent a collection service after me. Just goes to show you ATT doesnt even know whats going on and they dont care about their customers. I have wireless dtv and uverse with them but once I get this credit I will fire ATT on everything. I understand why its so hard to talk to ATT now because they want to give you all the promises in the world then steal your money. So I guess my question is how do I get any issue resolved with ATT
i just paid my 98 dollars and my phone continue off .
i just paid and i was told my phones were going to be reconected/ its been already close to an hour can you please tell me what is happening [edited for privacy – please do not post personal information]

Will the AARP Discount take hold?
I read about applying my AARP membership as a discount, and went the path of going to AARP's website, logging in, and then clicking the link over to AT&T's site. I now see a green AARP ribbon on the top of my ATT homepage, so this has clearly done something. However, I did not change any plan or buy any device right now, and I read that it could take 1-2 billing cycles for this to show up.
Did I do what was needed? I would hate to wait 1....2....3... months, still not seeing the discount, and realize I didn't do it right. Thanks for any help you can give!
Don't use ATT
I switched to Verizon and before doing so, i personally went to the ATT Store to pay my bill in full which I did. Months later I have a collection pop up on my credit report for $142. Fought it an fought it but they wouldn't budge on saying I owed it. Soooooooo, I even paid the bill on promises it would be removed from my credit report. Well all they did was mark paid on my credit report. I even recorded the conversation where they promised to remove completely from my credit once I paid. Well it's still there and it's the only collection I have and it kills me that BIG COMPANIES like this don't take better care of there customers because without us........THEY ARE NOTHING!!!!!
Wireless-Content Purchase Credit
Just wonder what a content purchase credit. Nothing has been added for some time, no changes. Is this something we have paid extra for for some time now, or just recently?

NO CREDIT for $650 trade-in
I have called customer retention TWICE and was provided every excuse as to why there is no credit, all of which accused me of doing something wrong. At the end of each call, I was supposed receive a call from a manager the very same evening. NEVER GOT ONE. I honored my end of the promotion, you have my phone, now honor your end of the bargain. NO MORE EXCUSES!

AT&T not honoring BOGO promotion (Via Chat)
I have been fighting with AT&T Chat service for over a month about a Buy One Get One free promotion back in April of 2016. I was online back in April and was told by a AT&T Chat Rep that the BOGO promotion was still active and ported over my wife's phone number from Verizon. We upgraded my phone as well, in line with the promotion.
I noticed that they were charging me for both phones on the smart payment plan. I called AT&T service and they were no help...offered me a free phone case for my problem. They said they couldn't see the chat logs. I then opened up chat and talked to someone who said they would open the case for me and saw the issue and I would be credited before Jan 24. So that day comes and goes with no credit...or even update on my case.
I am on with Chat now...have escalted twice but they keep saying the case is closed and cannot find any chats...not even the one from earlier in January. (Less than 2 weeks ago) This is going to cost me over $700 for the phone, and no one at AT&T seems to care.
How can I escalate this? Should I file a formal complaint? Is there a higher customer service dept I can contact? I am at a loss and so frustrated with AT&T,
Phone charges on Autopay.
I keep getting recharged 1-3 days earlier than the 30 days my acount if paying for. Why?
Change of business address on wireless accounts
AT&T makes it so incredibly inconvenient to change the billing address on our wireless accounts. Our business recently moved to a different location and I was transferred 3 times and the problem still remains. In order to change the billing address, they need to text a code to two of the phone numbers listed on each account, which they will need immediately. All of our mobile phones are with our technicians who are either driving or assisting someone out of the office, and won't necessarily call back right away. AT&T won't even allow me to change the billing address online. The paper bill does not have a change of address on the back of the bottom portion that you send back to them.
So frustrated with how difficult it is to change the bill address, when that should be the easiest thing to do. Absolutely ridiculous.
Sponsored Data and DIRECTV NOW

Ma Bell 1, customer looses
I received a text today that I was past due. After returning home, I called and AT&t's all-knowing voice bot transferred me to David who demanded that I provide a 6-8 digit pin number. This pin number was NEVER provided to me nor is there anything on myProfile to set up one as far as I can see...given this, David still demanded the pin number in such broken English that I was sure he was not comprehending so I asked to speak to his manager.
Paul C[edited for privacy – please do not post personal information] came on and demanded the same Pin number that is non-existent in order to talk to me on why my payment had not posted. Of course, since I could not provide the mysterious Pin number, he wouldn't help me until I allowed him to create one...at least he spoke comprehensible English!
Long story short: while this was going on the phone, I went on-line and paid my bill still not knowing what failed to transact last time. Mr. C would not waive the $5 late fee after I asked that it be done. Little does he know that I am on a limited income and that $5 could mean the difference between eating and not. All said, I am a long term AT&T customer but the rules are the rules, right Mr. C ?
My service is so poor at my residence that I have had to install a micro-cell in order to even use the cell phone in the house. This is just forcing me to take my business back to Verizon and Xfinity....yes I have internet and DirectTV with AT&T....
My question to AT&T:
1. Why do you demand a Pin number without informing of the need for creation of one and then be confrontational about it? You cannot do this on-line so everyone has to call in and go through this assonine (you can read between the lines here, right?) routine to set one up....a waste of everyone's time yet I am told that it is for my 'own protection'.
2.Why is it that you cannot set up a specific text notification notice that will tell you that you are approaching a past due point? Other smaller firms can do this, or is this set up to be a profit center for AT&T?
3. Why are you not training people in English speaking skills if you are going to afflict them on the public? Diversity is great but it also should not punish your customers because of a language barrier.
Lastly, if you are going to have these forums, create them so people can get to them easily. Not everyone needs to be and 'speak computer' to find them.
Data usage question
Regarding the data usage information on a cell bill, does the usage on the bill reflect all usage (including wifi) or just non-wifi usage?
Thanks.
