Is it possible to keep unlimited data plan for iPhone if you move off family plan?

Hello,

I am on a Family Plan and have the 700 min version.  There are two iPhones on that plan.  Both iPhones have unlimited data.  We were fortunate to be grandfathered into those plans at an early date.
The issue is due to changes we will be getting rid of the family plan and each getting our own plan for each iPhone.  We obviously will be opening one new account for one of us, a non-family plan, and the one remaining person probably will simply change to a new, non-family plan.

Each of the two separate accounts will have an iPhone still.  The issue is we consider those unlimited plans to be gold. I know they are hard to find these days. I realize there are some advantages of the other plans such as free text msging, unlimited minutes in some cases, etc.  Those are nice but yet we really want to keep unlimited data and I know that may not be available anytime in the near future.
Is there a way we can separate these two iPhones onto two distinct plans but yet keep our unlimited data or will we end up losing the unlimited data once we separate them and put them on separate plans? As I said in one case it will still be the same account, etc.  It'll simply be pulled off the family plan. I assume the other plan will have to be a complete new account though.

Thanks for your help,

Mark
