Back in December, an unauthorized person was able to change my plan. They changed my service plan, removed my data and unlimited txt, and removed my ability to text.
At the time the CS agent said it was a fraudulent unauthroized change on my account. I was able to restore data and my ability to receive and send texts, but my unlimited texting plan was not restored. I was being charged for every individual text message. I called in January to have this resolved. They refunded the loss and put in a back office case to restore my unlimited text messaging. I received a text message saying that it had been successful (I later learned this is not the case).
I did a lot of traveling, and I wasn't incurring a lot of text usage or anything to alarm me of the bill. But one month ago, I started receiving messages notifying me of overage charges for text messaging. I went to look at my bill, and I had been incurring individual text messaging charges since February 25th.
I called in to Customer Service. The lady was not completely helpful. She said she could only add on the unlimited text messaging plan and send in a back office case to refund the last 2 months. She also said I had received messages since February about the issue, but I just checked and the earliest message I received was on August 5th. Even if I were notified, it would still be the carrier's mistake that caused the issue. It shouldn't matter how long it has been going on for, because the original change was fraudulent.
I shouldn't have to pay for those charges. I was supposed to have unlimited text messaging on my plan in the first place. I never authorized its removal. Customer Service won't help me. What can I do?
