unhappy customer

Called At&t to arrange a payment arrangement with automatic bank withdrawal. Was granted payments on the 22nd and 5th. My bank account number was taken at that time. I realized on the morning of the 25th when my service was suspended that the payment was not taken out of my account. I called At&t and immediately made the payment for the amount the customer service representative told me was needed to restore service. She stayed on the line with me while payment was processed to insure my service was reinstated. I was told to make sure I called in on the 5th with payment since it was not put in as an automatic payment. On the morning of the 27th my service was again suspended. I was online with a representative and was informed that my payment arrangement was no longer be honored and was canceled on the 26th. The day after I made payment and was never informed that the payment arrangement was void. To say I am frustrated is an understatement! I was lied to in order to get payment on my account which was supposed to be automatically deducted from the beginning. I was lied to on the 25th by being told as long as payment was made service would be restored and was secure as long as payment was made on the 2nd date of the arrangement on the 5th. I am without a phone and have 2 children who need to be able to get a hold of me. I think it is horrible customer service and am beyond disappointed with At&t.
