Fed up with helpful ATT employees who give me "great" advice on what plans to get

I have been an AT&T customer since 1980.  That apparently will come to an end as soon as my plan lets me.  I cringe when an employee at the store helps me with some new plan that will save me lots of money.  It always costs double what they say it will save me.  At the beginning of the year one of the staff told me he was switching me to a new data plan because he had analyzed my account and said I was overpaying for my data usage and would save me about a hundred dollars a month.  Not only did it not save me money, it is costing me an arm and a leg.  I have called in an complained just about each and every month and no one ever told me that they could possible "undo" the change.  A very helpful lady was so convinced that they would let me that she did NOT change my data plan up again which has cost me another $45 in overages.  She said that she would tell them to call me so I could discuss with them.  What I received was an email saying that my time to undo was over.  Thank you very much and do not reply to this email.  I HAVE been complaining every month since it was changed.  No one ever told me there was a department that could look into it.  I have always defended ATT in the past but now I see that the complaints are true.  All they care about is revenue and don't really care about getting someone the plan that works for them.  This is the last time.  There are too many other choices that offer the unlimited to stick with ATT.
