Att, while being the best service provider as far as coverage is concerned leaves a lot to be desired in the way the do business. I had "purchased" a phone on the Web and it took 3 trips to the store to pick it up. Wasting a total of 3 hours of my time.
Now I find out that they did not inform me up front that I would be paying them in advance for each months service. I would have thought they would have needed it before they turned on the phone then, wouldn't you? I would not have chosen Att if I had known this up front. I was deciding who to switch to based on all factors (that I knew of) one of which was billing/deposits/activation fees and as high as they are on their charges I would not have switched to them had I have known they would expect their monthly fees up front, including taxes. So they make money off of my money for services not recieved yet as far as I can see. Making them the highest grossing phone company in the world off the sweat of my back by deceiving me. I am embarrassed that I was so easily taken in by them, if I did business like them I would have no business. Bait and switch comes to mind here.[Per Guidelines: Keep it Relevant and Appropriate].Deceptive business practices are not only decided in court based on what is in the fine print. Words spoken by those up employ do come into play. I do not know yet where I stand on this matter. I only know that I had hope to have a good phone with service provided by a reputable honest company. As it stand right now from my perspective att is not either.
