Hey everyone,
My father has had an account with AT&T for over 11 years, even when it was Cingular in our area. His multi-line plan is over $230 monthly. I really don't know how it is so expensive, we have an iphone 4s and 5 on the account and samsung rugby dumbphone.
He lives in the woods and the mobile phone is the only way we can contact him.
He did not pay for the last 2 months so his balance is $486.03. I called AT&T today to make payment arrangements but they will not turn on service until the bill is paid in full. I work in another state and have no way of contacting him except by driving two hours to his house in the woods.
I told the representative and her supervisor that I could pay $100 now, $100 tonight, and $100 next Friday 06/27/2014. She said there was no way to turn on service and this was their policy.
I know my father has missed payments in the past and service would be turned on. I know it's a troublesome account but it's thousands of dollars a year and with his history, he is going to stay with AT&T.
Could someone please help us, I want to pay but I also need to be able to contact him and have service reinstated.
