2 HOURS FINALLY OVER. It took me 2 hours for them to admit their mistake after stating I would cancel my service and take legal action. First I got my service on March 3rd, the price for 1GB of data was $45 and then switched to $25 on March 8th, as AT&T lowered their prices. Here's the catch, my account never switched. Since March until June I have been paying $20 dollars more for 1GB of data and for services that were not my service such as, "MOBILE TV, ROADSIDE ASST., and GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES." After 2 hours of talking with 3 service reps, including the floor supervisor they were able to almost fix the mistake, but with a catch. My bill including some overages came to $170, but they wanted me to pay my current bill as well before they could issue credits, which was an additional $65. Not only were they telling me in order to restore my service I had to pay a bill that wasnt due for another few weeks, but they were breaching the AT&T contract agreement I had signed with them and they were performing nothing less than EXTORTION to me by requesting early money in order to restore my service. After telling them I was going to cancel my contract and take legal action for such crimes and contract breaching, they somehow found a way in the system to bypass the extra money and restore my service.
Moral of the story, check your wireless bills and assure you are paying $25 for 1GB of data to assure you have not been overcharged. Seeing as they did not contact customers to inform them of any way that their bill was changing. Seeing as it was a system error, I doubt I was the only one effected by it. Check your plans and make sure AT&T credits you what you deserve.
Thank You.
