I recently made a payment using 2 checks. Both were mailed in the same envelope and only one was processed so now my account is delinquent the amount of the second check. I called and a dispute was placed on the account. I received a phone call the next day telling me that the case was closed due to the fact that they investigated and found that they never received a second check. It was in the same envelope as the processed check! In my latest phone call, I was basically told that the postal service probably removed the check, that I never sent the second check and that I should really consider paying my bill another way. I now have to stop payment on the original check which will cost me money and ATT had indicated to me that they will not take responsibility for the lost check. Basically, it's my fault because I chose to pay with a check rather than online. After being on the phone for 30 minutes and getting the run around, I asked to be transferred. After being transferred and still getting the runaround, I asked to be transferred to an agent in the US and was told that they did nit have a direct connection to the US. This was obviously human error and ATT will not admit it. They have, essentially, blamed various other people for their carelessness and incompetence. I was told that they would not credit or refund my stop payment fee because it isn't their responsibility. Where is your loyalty, ATT?
