Another AT&T nightmare!!!

I had Data overage issues twice in my last billing cycle. I had to pay $30 for having 2GB added. So, I contacted one of AT&T service representatives through AT&T Chat on July 31. An AT&T service representative told me that I only pay $20 if I change my DATA share plan to 15GB from 5GB at the same day even though my billing cycle ends on August 02. I asked him/her more than 5 times if I really pay only flat $20 charge for using 15GB for 2 days to the end of billing cycle. He/she said that I only pay $20 and I will have my 5GB data plan back at the beginning of the new billing cycle on August 03:

Rochel-Ann (AT&T Chat service representative): "Here's our other way. We can move your plan to 15GB and will only add $20 on your current bill and then I'll back date the 15Gb for you so it will cover the data overage and you will not pay $30 for the overage. And then I will take care for the difference of 5GB changing to 15GB which is $20."

I got my 5GB data plan back on August 03. However, instead of $20 charge for using 15GB for 2 days, AT&T charged me $100 for the whole billing cycle 7/3-8/2. This is crazy!!! I used 15GB plan for 2 days to avoid $30 overage charge as an AT&T service representative recommended to do so. Now AT&T charged me $100 for the whole month, instead of $20 for 2 days. I keep AT&T Chat Transcript in which an AT&T service representative clearly told me that I pay only $20, instead of $100 for the whole billing cycle:

Rochel-Ann (AT&T Chat service representative): "So we will change your plan to 15GB and that will be an additional of $20 on your current bill. Instead of paying the additional $20, I will credit it for you so your bill will still be the same."

My current wireless bill with 5GB data share plan is about $200.00. As an AT&T Chat service representative clearly said, if an additional of $20 is added on my current bill, the total will be about $220!!! But I got a $295 bill!!! WHY?

Plus, he/she didn’t tell me that the plan change will be applied for the whole billing cycle!!! I WOULDN'T CHANGE MY PLAN IF I HAD TO PAY $100 FOR 2 REMAINING DAYS IN THE BILLING CYCLE if an AT&T Chat service representative informed me so!!! WHY would I pay $100, instead of $30 overage charge for 2 REMAINING DAYS IN THE BILLING CYCLE?

This is crazy!!! I have never solved any problem through AT&T Chat. AT&T always made my problem bigger and bigger just like a snow ball so that I had to call AT&T customer service over and over again and beg for their generosity to correct it!!!

I have been a loyal AT&T wireless user from 2005. Is such a fraudulent business practice a reward for being a loyal customer for more than a decade?
